Santa Cruz Tucson Loop Construction

  • Caution: KE&G Construction will be repairing cracks on The Loop between Grant and Speedway beginning Nov. 1. The work is expected to continue for about two weeks. During this time, the path will remain open, but Loop users should exercise caution in the area.
  • Caution: Starting Monday, Oct. 23, Hunter Construction will be moving sediment along a path southwest of Ina and I-10, south of Ted Walker Park. To protect the Loop pavement from construction traffic, Hunter will place four steel plates onto the path with cold patch pavement on each end for user access. The path will remain open but users should exercise caution in the area. Work is expected to last through Dec. 4.
  • Closed: Beginning March 13, The Loop will be closed to all pedestrian and bicycle traffic between Twin Peaks Road and the Loop path entrance directly in front of Wheeler Taft Abbett Sr. Library south of Cortaro Road. The closure is scheduled to be in place through late 2023.

Rillito River (Central) Tucson Loop Construction

  • Caution: Beginning January 17, Granite Construction will be replacing the bridge barrier along Oracle Road at the Rillito River. This is part of the Arizona Department of Transportation Oracle Project. During Loop park hours (dawn to dusk) the pathway will remain open, and users will be protected by overhang structures to catch any falling debris. In the event or necessity of a full path closure, detours will be in place. Please use caution when going through the area.

Pantano Washway Tucson Loop Construction

  • Caution: KE&G Construction will begin filling cracks in the Pantano Loop path on Monday, September 18, and will continue work for a couple of weeks. They will begin at Tanque Verde Road and stop at Golf Links Road, and will work on both banks when applicable. The path will not be closed, and signs will be in place alerting Loop users to the presence of workers.
